Your digital footprint is all the history you or anyone have put on the Internet. What I mean by that is all the sites you have signed up for or any photos you have put on the Internet represent your digital footprint.  Our challenge this week was to see how big our digital footprint was by searching your name on google and see what you will find. I think this post is very creative if you think about it,  lets say you sign up for facebook and keep your security settings low and you search up your name on google images you would find your profile picture.  I searched my name up and I didn’t find anything. If you search your name up you will be surprised of what you find.

220px-The_Littlest_Hobo_The_Complete_First_Season_DVD_cover

The littlest Hobo was a TV show that started in 1979 until 1985. It was a show about a stray dog that traveled the world helping people. The dog never had a name but did have a lot of nicknames. When people met him they would be a temporary owner then at the end of each show he would travel somewhere else. I think they’re are releasing  seasons of the show on DVD.  Here is the link to watch it http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051870/   the show still airs on CTV on Saturday at 8:30 am and 9:00am.

Anti-Bullying Day was on February 26th, and all of you probably know what it is but if you don’t I will tell the story. It all started in Nova Scotia…

A Grade 9 boy at Central Kings Rural High School wore a pink shirt to school other students bullied him and called him offensive names. Two grade 12 boys heard what happend and did not approve. The two boys went to a local thrift store and got 50 pink shirts They spread the word on the internet the next day the school was filled with pink and that’s how it came to be. Not just today but every day we have to stand to bullying and stop it for good.

Jackson Pollock is the artist I will be talking about today. He is not like  a regular artist.  You might not know what I’m talking about unless you have heard of  him or his nickname Jack the Dripper. If you look at the picture on my post it  will tell you a lot  about him. He didn’t paint like you would think, he splatted paint  but not on the wall, he painted on the floor so he could move around with the paint. Jackson Pollock painted during World War 1 and World War 2. Sadly he died in a car crash in 1956. There is one last thing I have to tell you about him and that thing is all the different elements he used. Shapes. Shapes are created by lines when he paints. Form. When you bend shapes into bigger lines and value is the diifrence of  light and dark. One last thing I have to do is compare my painting to his well first he used real paint of course our class used the computer he got to move around the painting we dident. creat your own painting click on the link Jackson Pollock.

angle photo angle aboshon

Last week we started to learn about angles and measurements. The funny thing is I never knew there were so many angles. Some of them are straight angles which are 180° and right angles which are 90°. Those are the basic ones because 180° is a straight line and 90° is like the corner of a square or rectangle.  There are also reflex angles which you measure the outside of the obtuse and acute angle to get these. This means it’s greater than 180° and less than 360°. An obtuse angle is more then 90° but less then 180° so its wider then a right angle. The last one is an acute angle which is less then 90°. It’s smaller than a right angle.

We have done a lot of fun activities to learn about angles like when we went for a scavenger hunt for angles in the school. We kind of did the same thing when we had to take photos of angles. Both of them were really fun. All of the angles we have been learning have been confusing me a bit, but when the second week came I started to get it and there are more angle rotations we learned I didn’t know about.  Turns out  we were doing angles in gymnastics when we had to do 360′s . 360′s are a full spin. In the end we learnd a lot about angles.

For a class project we had to create a book trailer using Windows Movie Maker. We had to pick a book from the school library and when I was looking I came across a book called The Good Dog. The funny part is I really liked it. I never do book reviews but since it was a really good book I thought: ” why not?” At the beginning of the book in a mountain town called Steamboat Springs the main character is a dog called McKinley he is a Malamute.McKinley is the leader of the Steamboat Springs dog pack. He lives with his human family; Sarah, Gill and Jack. Sarah  is the mom and Gill is the dad and last but not least, Jack. McKinley calls him his human pup even though he is his master. Okay, so back to the story. First off Jack comes running home saying he saw a wolf. Apparently you really never see wolves up in Steamboat Springs. At first Jack’s Dad doesn’t believe him. Sorry, I’m going to stop here. The funny thing is the book seems to go on forever! If you want to see a better review click on this link for wiki version.

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is one of my favourite games. It’s only on Wii the storyline is just great. This storyline includes a boy living in a village named Odon who’s  name is Link. Soon Link knows he is a true hero. On his hand there was a symbol. It was called the Tri-force. Like  the picture on the left, the tri force came in three parts:  power, wisdom and courage. One day link was going to deliver a package to the castle in Hyrule. Link went to go get his horse named Epona at the lake. His friends named Colun and Ilia where there  but the they were attacked by King Boblin and his soldiers. They’re  the most fierce in Hyrule. They took Colun and Ilia and hit Link on the back of the head and knocked him out. When Link woke up he ran to the bridge but it was covered by a dark wall called Twilight. A dark hand came out of the wall, grabbed Link and took him to the Twilight realm.  It was a dark beast Link struggled to get out of its hand but then the triforce started to glow. It shone in the shadow baest’s eye and it dropped Link Then Links heart started to thump and  he quickly turnd into a wolf. Then he fainted and the beast carryied him away. If you’d like to know more about this great game, you’ll have to wait and  buy it!

I rate this game 5/5 on storyline, movement and graphics
